the press

Trust is not a word that comes to mind much when I think about the press. It's a shame I feel that way and it's not a new feeling either. All to often the people that are reporting events either want to boost their own careers or else they simply impart their views into the story. Neither should be done even though both are fueled by human desires and emotions.

News without spin...if only it could be.

what is awful? the link or how I feel about the media?

That link is not the best of examples but I've been reading about the staging of a bunch of stories published during that mess in Lebanon and it's just sad how the media is playing both sides... The world of the Internet has helped fuel this because you have to rush a story out before you can check the facts along with more and more people having their own agenda.

News with out spin. What a novel idea.

Ry and I were watching a Katrina anniversary broadcast in the airport where they were trying to make it seem like it was the fault of the poor people for the devestation that happened in New Orleans. Spin another way perhaps?

I suppose it's just up to the educated masses to watch and listen and try to make up our own minds as to what is real and what is not.

It's just the poor souls (dare I call them ignorant?) who believe everything they hear or read that we need to be concerned about.
